Do our pets have a spirit and are we likely to meet up with them in the next life?
Pets cannot talk so we cannot receive communication from them telling us that they have survived death. What we do have, however, are relatives who communicate and tell us that they have such and such a pet with them who is now living with them in the spirit world. So, yes, they certainly do survive death and have a continued existence in the spirit world.
What is not known, however, is how long that existence lasts as spirit teachers tell us that animals do not have individual spirits as humans do but are part of a group spirit. What they also advise us is that as long as we love and need that animal it will continue to be with us so we need have no fear about any pets we may have living in spirit - when we think of them, the energy of our thoughts reach out to them and they are aware of our love.
